The Rio Linda Knights defeated the Bella Vista Broncos by the close score of 35-26.

The Knights move on to play the second-seeded Del Campo Cougars (9-1), who defeated the Pioneer Patriots 36-0.

The Pacers will face off against the sixth-seeded Fairfield Falcons (8-2), who defeated Rosemont 38-7.

Sac-Joaquin Playoffs (D-3): Bella Vista vs. Rio Linda

The Rio Linda Knights (8-2) begin their playoff run tonight facing off against the Bella Vista Broncos (7-3).

Both teams have lost two in a row coming in, so it will be interesting to see who can pull off a victory.

Game starts at 7pm at Rio Linda High School.

Sac-Joaquin Playoffs (D-2): Tokay vs. Grant

Grant begins their quest to defend their title as they play host to the Tokay Tigers (6-4).

Grant is undefeated this season, and Pacer fan can only hope last week's defensive performance was a hiccup rather than a sign of things to come. Tokay has lost three straight coming in to tonight's game.

Game starts at 7pm at Grant High School.

H1N1 Clinic tomorrow at Rio Linda High School

Sacramento County has a scheduled H1N1 Flu Vaccination Clinic for priority groups tomorrow from 3pm to 7pm at Rio Linda High School.

Priority groups include:
  • Pregnant women
  • Healthcare workers
  • Persons caring for children under 6 months of age
  • Children and young adults aged 6 months to 24 years
  • Adults aged 24-64 with underlying medical conditions
Be sure to fill out your consent form prior to attending the clinic.

Grant works to win Metro Title; gets third seed for playoffs

The Grant Pacers won the Metro Title last night, but Burbank gave them a run for their money.

The Pacers won the game 40-22, but Burbank came within 4 points with 5:29 left to play. Grant then took an 11 point lead with 4:30 left and never looked back.

Grant is seeded third for Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs.

What happened to Taco Bell?

If you've driven down Del Paso Blvd lately, you may have noticed Taco Bell was torn down.

This Taco Bell was one of the older, mission-style ones; something that made it really unique. Interestingly enough, the Taco Bell sign was left standing, suggesting the venue may be replaced. Hopefully it will be; it seemed like a pretty busy place.
